The Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) has embarked on a maize distribution exercise across Kisoro district.
Nkuringo town council and Nyabwishenya Sub County have this week, have received 350 Kilograms of maize seeds under the Parish Development Model system.
The maize seeds that have been distributed across several sub counties is part of a 7,500 kilograms Consignment that was delivered to Kisoro district.
Head of OWC Kisoro and Bufumbira North OWC coordinator Colonel Deo Kayita said that the maize seed distribution will continue to be carried out at parish level with particular emphasis on number of households identified.
He noted that his office has ensured to deliver the maize seeds to each sub county where the sub county chief, LC3 chairpersons and their subordinates will hand it over to beneficiaries in each parish.
Col. Kayita guaranteed quick delivery of the seeds to beneficiaries because extension workers are already on ground to ensure that the exercise is smoothly done.
