INTRODUCTION
Voice of Muhabura is a Radio Station Broadcasting on 88.9 FM in Kisoro District, Uganda (E.A.). It is the main channel of information to an estimated audience of more than 6 million people living in the south western region of Uganda, Rwanda and DR Congo.

Voice of Muhabura aims at improving and bringing about a positive change in the way people think, live and act. This is brought about through well researched programs that deal with issues that affect directly or indirectly the daily lives of the people.

OUR MISSION
Our Mission at Voice of Muhabura is to reach out to a broader listening audience. Discussing important relative issues concerning Health, Gender, Education, Sanitation, Social & Economic Entertainment. All this is done while maintaining Cultural Integrity, as well as promoting Democracy.
OUR APPROACH
At Voice of Muhabura, we work hard to keep our audience entertained and up to date, as well as providing ideas & solutions to help create healthy sustainable living environments.
Broadcasting is in all local languages as well as Swahili, French & English.
The programs are basically rural development oriented with a blend of contemporary music.
We target a vast audience-range with social & economic issues. Focusing on special interest towards women & children’s topics.

We feel strongly about promoting unity with diversity while maintaining a proud cultural identity. We look to achieve through the following points;
A positive voice for rural development in the social, economic and political sectors.
To promote positive local culture.
To be used as an extended arm to convey government development and policies.
To widen the scope of information and knowledge of the people by positively changing the negative mindset towards particular issues affecting our society.

Like our motto “Ijwi Riyobora” (Leading Voice) we hope to be a positive leading voice for all of our listeners. keeping them up dated on all local and international current affairs. Making sure we provide dependable quality entertainment for all ages of our listeners continuously around the clock. We will also be sure to provide them with the information to not only help understand and deal with, but to find solutions for the issues at hand that affect everyone of us in our daily life.
