Vomuhabura is still trying to establish the full identities of the two suspects who are believed to be a personal body guard and driver to the RDC.

“I cannot say much about the matter right now but what I can tell you is that the two suspects have been arrested, the owner of the gun and the driver. Let us wait for investigations to be concluded”, Mugisha explained.

According to sources in the office of the RDC, the two suspects are believed to have attacked one of the shops in Russia, an upcoming residential area in Kisoro Municipality.

It is believed that the driver was holding a fire arm and tried to intimidate the shop owner, whose identity has been concealed for security purposes.

The plan was foiled following a tip-off from neighbors.

The 35th Battalion at Nyakabande has not come out to confirm or decline the information.
