Police in kisoro is hunting for thugs who broke into Siniya Phone Point and Tecno center shops on Kisoro main street and stole electronics worth millions of shillings. Both shops are owned by Vallence Mugisha.
The incident happened last night at around 2am.

Joseph Nzabambarirwa of 75 years, the night watchman who was guarding the shops by the time of incident says that he recalls seeing six people who were travelling in a white vehicle.
Nzabambarirwa adds that the thugs first gave him a bottle of soda but became suspicious of them.
According to him, he later he heard people banging doors but he thought they were guests or workers at the neighbouring Sabyinyo guest house.

Many have blamed the incident on laxity of police, wondering how the thugs were able to rob the shop in the middle of the town during curfew hours.
Abel Bizimana, the Kisoro district LC5 chairperson who reached the place also regretted the laxity in security authorities, wondering how the thugs used a gas cutter to open the doors without police noticing.
He said police have relaxed to the extent that criminals move at night without any interruption.
By press time, Police had already arrested one unidentified suspect.
