Bukimbiri County Member of Parliament, Hon. Eddie Kwizera Wagahungu is a man who stands by his promises.
His thoughts and opinions, when expressed publicly tend to rub a section of the public the wrong way, however his actions have proven effective in only a short period of time.
Hon. Kwizera was the guest of Honor at the launch and operationalization of Bukimbiri United Boda Boda Operators (BUBO).
Kwizera urged the boda boda association to streamline their operations by promoting transparency and honesty in all their dealings.
Kwizera said the mindset of boda boda riders being seen as uneducated and unable to develop themselves needs to be changed.
He contributed 5 million Ugandan shillings towards the association SACCO.
Kwizera directed his concerns towards Security in Kisoro who he alleges are dealing compassionately with criminals.
He also spent time inspecting Rehabilitation works on Ruhezamyenda Bridge connecting Mukozi and Kasharara in Nyundo and Kirundo sub counties.
The breakdown of this bridge affected transport, service delivery and tourism in the area.
Mr. Kwizera commended the district authorities for following up on the road that falls under their purview.
The site engineer says light vehicles will be able to cross the bridge as more works are conducted, to be competed in three weeks’ time.
