The Kisoro District Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Hajji Badru Mayanja has written summons to the Parish Chiefs of Gisozi Parish (Nyundo Sub County) and Bubuye Parish (Nyundo Sub County) after it has been established that they have failed to implement the Parish Development Model Program.
Sunday Steven and Habyarimana John have 14 days to respond to the Summons to explain why they are not reporting to work and have failed to execute PDM in their parishes.
Hajji Badru Mayanja said the two technocrats will most likely be forwarded to the Rewards and Sanctions Committee to defend themselves and if the reasons are not justifiable, they will be forwarded the District Service Commission for Sanctions.
A recent alarm raised by the Kisoro Resident District Commissioner and the District Executive Committee over the poor execution of PDM by Parish chiefs has seen sweeping changes that place in the program that has attracted huge participation from the public.

Among the changes include appointment of duties to the District Veterinary Officer Dr. Herbert Ngabo as the PDM focal point person, taking over from the District Commercial Officer Geoffrey Kazungu.
Hajji Badru Mayanja says Parish chiefs across the district have managed to pick up the slack to ensure more people benefit from the program.
He further revealed that the Parish Chiefs of Karambi Parish in Nyarubuye and Chahafi parish in Chahafi town council are indisposed as a result of illness which has affected service delivery in the PDM program.
Mayanja said the district is preparing to deploy other Parish chiefs who have shown expediency and effectiveness to go and support those two parishes so that the people are not left behind.
