The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Gorilla Highlands football Club Joseph Nsabiyumva has thanked people who managed to pledge money to the tune of 6 Million shillings to buy a coaster bus for the team.
Nsabiyumva says the club is seeking to raise 150 Million Ugandan Shillings to buy a coaster bus that will serve as transportation for the team.
Nsabiyumva said Nyarusiza FC which rebranded to Gorilla Highlands club in 2008 has been performing well however transportation of players has been a challenge.
A friendly match over the weekend between Gorilla Highlands and Muhabura FC saw Gorilla Highlands winning by 3 goals to 1.
Nsabimana Richard, director of DB9 club Kampala and chief resource mobilizer said the football club is growing and requires having its own bus which costs 150 Million Shillings.

He commended everyone who has so far pledged some money and called on other people to support the football club that has put Kisoro district in the spotlight, for the right reasons.
He noted that several meetings are going to be held both in Kampala and Kisoro to raise funds.
Nsabimana encouraged people to pay through the bank to avoid any confusion.
Club Chairman Dr. Martin Mbonye called upon communities in Kisoro to join hands to ensure that Gorilla Highlands purchases the bus which will be a major achievement for the people of Kisoro.
Mbonye commended Uganda Cranes player Bobosi Byaruhanga for supporting the club with training balls and said his success as a football player is an inspiration to the entire team.
