The Former Nkuringo Conservation and Development Foundation (NCDF) Chairman, Asgario Turyagyenda has officially handed over the office to the recently elected Chairperson of the organization, Tumuhairwe B John.
In a joyous and peaceful function held at Nkuringo Community Secondary School in Nkuringo town council, Asgariyo Turyagyenda handed over all assets, documents and projects to the new board after serving the organization for the last seven years.
Among assets handed over, include land titles, Clouds Hotel, Mucwamba Health Facility and Nkuringo community secondary school.
Asgario also handed over four court cases that need follow-up by the new organization’s leadership.

Asgario said that the organization has sponsored a number of community members at all levels of education, offered employment opportunities, supported community development by giving out live stocks among others. He highlighted covid-19, political interference and wrangles as the major setbacks during his tenure of leadership.
The newly elected board members and stakeholders commended Asgario for availing himself to handover the office to the new leadership and praised him for fighting many wars on behalf of the organization.
After receiving instruments of power, Tumuhairwe John asked members to trust him because he will lead the organization with transparency.

He also vowed to drop all the organization’s court cases as one way of saving funds for other developmental projects.
The NCDF foundation members’ chairman, Kanyamunyu Fidelis aka Rubuz commended Asgario and his regime for utilizing his lobbying abilities to attract funds from tourists and expanding NCDF community projects.
He implored the incoming board to also initiate an income-generating project and avoid depending on the sweat of their predecessors.
