In a race against time, Kisoro district has endeavored to utilize the remaining 4 billion shillings out of 6.4 billion that was sent to Kisoro district.

He said the problem was later streamlined however communities flocked DFCU Bank in Kisoro Municipality in large numbers causing serious congestion and unproductivity among the communities.

Sekandi says, an oversight on the bank’s part resulted in such huge numbers at the bank premises which could have been averted by having bank agents complete the process in the villages.

He commended women who ensured to sign up for PDM a lot more than men, according to the data received.

Sekandi said Gisozi Parish Sacco account still has 40 million shillings while Gasovu Parish has 62 million which has caused a headache to the district leadership however substitutes for the two parish chiefs have been made available to ensure that beneficiaries receive their money.
