Hon. Sarah Mateke Nyirabashitsi is also the Kisoro district Woman Member of Parliament.

Hon. Nyirabashitsi said she is in agreement with the proposed plan to increase monies meant for each parish from 30 million shillings to 100 million shillings.
The development comes following a meeting of all NRM members of Parliament with President Yoweri Museveni at Kololo earlier this week where all MPs agreed support the proposed budget of the Parish Development Model Fund from the current 200 billion to 1,069 trillion Shillings.
While speaking to vomuhabura.com, Hon. Nyirabashitsi, said the Parish development Model will serve the youth of Kisoro very well because many of them have a strong desire to participate in agriculture but they have always lacked capital to begin.

The Model encompasses seven pillars, including production, infrastructure and economic services, financial inclusion and social services. The others are community data (Community Information System), governance and administration, and mindset change.
