Youths in Kisoro are demanding for a share on the national cake by getting equal job opportunities in the central government of Uganda if they are to keep their full support to the ruling national resistance movement party.
According to the youths, Kisoro district has got educated people to work in any government position but the appointing authorities Lesley consider them.
In a peaceful demonstration in Kisoro Municipality today, youths led by the southern division LC5 Councilor, Agaba James asked the president of Uganda to at least push for people in Kisoro to work in bigger posts like RDCs, Directors, Commissioners among others.
He also hinted that the Bafumbira have been having hopes that Mukiiza Robert who passed interviews in April last year to work as the director of Uganda Investment authority would be approved but in vain.
“we still love you president Museveni and we promise 100% support in the coming elections but remember our own Mukiiza Robert” says Agaba.
Speaking to voice of Muhabura on a phone interview, Munyaneza Allan the youth chairperson for Kisoro district said that it has become difficult for people in Kisoro to get a government job since the sacking of General Kale Kayihura.
He asked the youths in Kisoro to keep the pressure on if they are to let the government know that Kisoro district do exist.
“I personally went through a training at Kyakwazi for four months to work under president’s office but I was left out at the eleventh hour” says Munyaneza Allan”
