Residents of Nyundo Sub County have reiterated their frustrations about the problem of stray dogs eating their livestock.
The residents are calling upon the Office of Resident District Commissioner, Kisoro DPC and veterinary department to take action after stray dogs have allegedly killed 500 sheep.
The angry residents say they are counting serious losses because each sheep currently goes for 170,000 Ugandan shillings.
They expressed their dissatisfaction towards the district leadership that promised to respond and urged community members not to exact revenge on the dogs.

Twinomugisha Enock from Matyazo Village says he is filled with rage because dogs have eaten more than 30 sheep in the last month, and this is detrimental to the survival of his family.
Mutambuzi Fred says the Area Member of Parliament and other district leaders need to find a quick solution before people take the law into their own hands, which will not be good for harmonize living between people and the animals in the area.
Kisoro RDC Hajji Shafiq Sekandi said a special meeting is going to be organized to discuss a possible solution.
Sekandi said no revenge killings of stray dogs should take place but instead people should wait for technical advice on how to solve the problem.
