Christmas this year, will come early for the Christians of seven Catholic Churches in Kisoro district after the Honorary Consul of Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Uganda, H.E Augustus Caesar Mulenga donated a total 3130 iron sheets to Mutolere Deanery.
The Iron Sheets were received yesterday by Rev. Fr. Joseph Sebatware, the Mutolere Parish Priest.
The donated Iron Sheets will be used to roof the churches of Kamatiza, Kabaya and Mbonjera in Mutolere Parish.
Other churches expect to benefit include Gitenderi and Muramba in Sooko Parish, Kabuga and Rubona Catholic Church in Nyagisozi Parish.
Rev. Fr. Sebatware says Muramba will receive 870 iron sheets,
Gitenderi 380, Rubona 270, Kabuga 250, Mbonjera 450, Kabaya 520 and Kamatiza 390 iron sheets.
The churches will also receive different building assortments in addition to the iron sheets.
Rev. Fr. Sebatware commended H.E Caesar Augustus Mulenga for his donation and prayed great blessings upon him and his family.
He called on Christians to reflect on their lives and try to emulate Christ’s teachings in their lives by avoiding evil acts of alcoholism, adultery as well as domestic violence in homes.
Hashaka Geoffrey, Prime Minister of Caesar Development Kingdom and representative of H.E Mulenga says the Development Kingdom primarily focuses on creating harmony and peace among communities in Kisoro, regardless of religion, tribe and economic status.
