The day of reckoning came today for a 30-year-old man, Ndikumukiza Gerald who for the last two years has been on remand, accused of murdering four relatives including his own parents, back in 2020.
Ndikumukiza, a resident of Kageyo village, Busengo Parish Nyarubuye Sub County, in the month of September 2020 hacked to death his 80-year-old father Sebitama Deogratious, his 75-year-old mother Nyiraguhirwa Bonikonsira, his 26-year-old sister-in-law Mujawimana Maliserina and his own wife Nyiramahoro Joan, aged 20 using a machete.
While appearing before the Kabale High court’s Resident Judge, Hon. Justice Emokor Samuel, the accused was given a life sentence on conviction of quadruple murder charges against him.
Prosecution says that while at Kageyo Village, Busengo parish in Nyarubuye Sub County In the night of 24th of September 2020, Ndikumukiza used a panga to cut and kill four of his relatives.

During the gruesome attack, Ndikumukiza first killed his own wife, thereafter, pounced on Mujawimana Maliserina, wife to his brother.
Ndikumukiza turned the panga on his father and then on his mother, who is said to have not been putting on any clothes at the time of her untimely demise.
Resident Judge of the Kabale High court circuit, Hon. Justice Emokor Samuel described the actions of perpetrator as pure evil that he deserves no opportunity of enjoying God given sunshine for the rest of his nature life.
Hon. Justice Emokor Samuel ruled that the convict, Ndikumukiza Gerald would be getting a deterrent sentence of life imprisonment that will work as a reminder to people in the community that murder is unacceptable in the laws of Uganda.
