According to Dr. Ssenyonyi, the wife and the mother in a home takes care of the children and the husband, not only in the physical but also in matters of Spirituality, that is why it is vital that mothers’ union is equipped and strengthened with the word of God.

She explained that her travels across the country teaching the same message has made her realize that many families are still struggling to recover from the COVID – 19 lockdown where many families are silently suffering from Gender Based Violence, which is unacceptable in Christian living.

“We have many families suffering silently. We need to speak out and teach the wives in such homes to return love and peace, with the power of Jesus Christ”, Ssenyonyi explained

She cautioned wives who have been blessed with better paying jobs and further advancement in education not to forget their position in a family where a man is the head of the home.

“I am a doctorate holder, I own my own car and I have been successful in many fields but I also have a husband whom I respect dearly, therefore I know my place in my home and in my marriage, and that is to be supportive to the head of my family”, Dr. Ssenyonyi stressed.

Hope Ruzaza explained that the teachings, targeting Reverends’ wives will go a long way in building up the church once more because behind every successful man is a strong, prayerful woman who trusts in God to make a way for their family.
