Civil Servants from Kisoro Graduate from Nkumba University

Festo Manishimwe, the Coordinator of Nkumba University Study Center in Kisoro confirmed that 14 people graduated with Masters, Post Graduate Diplomas and Bachelor’s degrees.

A total 1,856 students today graduated from Nkumba University main campus in Entebbe, Wakiso District with various disciplines.

Among the notable personalities include Uganda’s Premier, Robinah Nabbanja who graduated with a master’s in arts in Monitoring and Evaluation and Minister of Works and Transport Gen. Katumba Wamala who was conferred with an honorary Doctorate of Letters.

Kisoro District, known for its undulating hills, Irish Potatoes and booming Mountain Gorilla tourism was ably represented during the 25th graduation ceremony.

Festo Manishimwe, the Coordinator of Nkumba University Study Center in Kisoro confirmed that 14 people graduated with Masters, Post Graduate Diplomas and bachelor’s degrees.

He commended them for their sacrifice and their determination to increase on their human capital which will make them more effective in their workstations.

List of those who graduated.

Resty Ntabanganyimana- Master of Public Administration. She is also a lecturer at Metropolitan International University main Campus and also operates a Hair Salon.

Joshua Nkurikiyimana- Master of Education Management. He is the head teacher of Mwumba Progressive Secondary School.

Emmanuel Nkurikiyimana- Master of Business Administration. He is the General Manager of Chahi Dukore Sacco.

Festo Manishimwe- Master of Business Administration. He is the credit officer at Mubuga Sacco and Coordinator of Nkumba University coordinator Kisoro Study Center.

Karen Mujya- Master of Business Administration. She is an Accountant at Kisoro Hospital.

Mbabazi Dian- Bachelor of Public Administration. She Works with the Kisoro Court.

Tumukunde Agnes- Bachelor of Public Administration. She works with the Diocese of Muhabura.

Silver Habumuremyi- Bachelor of Business Administration. He works as Nyabwishenya Sub County Accountant.

Kwitonda Pricilla- Bachelor of Business Administration

Molly Nyiramahoro- Bachelor of Business Administration

Jane Ntawuruhunga- Bachelors of Education Primary. She is a teacher.

Felicity Uwiringiyimana- Bachelors of Education Primary. She is a head teacher.

Bosenibo James- Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration.

Namanya Plaxedah- Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration. She is a Parish Chief and Businesswoman.

Assistant Principal CAO graduates with PhD

George Kwizera, a resident of Matinza Trading Center in Nyakabande Sub County today assumes the title of Dr. or PhD which is the highest graduate degree awarded by Universities.

Dr. George Kwizera graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from Nkumba University in Public Administration and Management with a specialty in Poverty Reduction Studies.

It focuses on human capital and socio- economic transformation.

Kwizera says he started back in 2017 and has taken six years to finally graduate.

He preferred to study from the main campus despite all the commitments at the district and with his family because he was determined to succeed.

He says the sky is no longer the limit and will use all available resources at his disposal to succeed in life and serve Uganda effectively.
