Fatal Motorcycle Crash Claims Student’s Life in Kisoro

A tragic road accident has claimed the life of a 20-year-old student, Byomuhangyi Benard, a resident of Nyabaremura Village in Rubuguri Town Council.

The fatal incident occurred at Zindiro Village junction when Benard, who was riding a motorcycle registration number UFQ 766M, reportedly collided with a bicycle.

According to preliminary reports, he lost control while attempting to navigate a corner and veered into a trench, resulting in his death.

Benard is believed to have been a student at Muhabura Shine Secondary School in Kisoro District.

At the time of the accident, he was riding with a passenger identified as Only Olinga, also a resident of Rubuguri.

Olinga survived the crash but sustained critical injuries and is currently receiving treatment at St. Francis Hospital Mutolere.

Meanwhile police in Kisoro visited the scene and the body was taken in the mortuary at Kisoro hospital
