Mbabazi Vanansio, commonly known as Kakogoso of Metropolitan FM yesterday evening, escaped with an inch of his life after he was allegedly attacked by students armed with sticks and pangas, along Kamonyi- Mutolere road.
Kakogoso, who is nursing cuts on the right side of his back says, the spot where he was attacked is dark spot that Police and Municipal authorities need to address immediately.
The radio pundit, who is fairly new to Kisoro was given a rude welcome after young men armed with sticks and pangas demanded that he stops in his tracks. The time was 11:30pm
Kakogoso says, he was speaking to his wife on the phone as he walked home from the radio show when he met the young men.
“Once I heard them say, STOP, I immediately decided to run for my life. I chose to jump the drainage and run in the grass because they had covered the entire main road, Kakogoso narrated.
He was hit in the back several times with the wooden stick while the boys with pangas were hoping to get closer in order to stick.
According to the radio presenter, the young men are students of one of the Secondary schools along Kamonyi road, but he was not able to easily establish which school.

He has called on the Police to intensify their patrols and change the routine in which they move because criminals can see them from a mile away.
He urged the municipal authorities to install CCTV cameras along the danger spot because many people have fallen victim, with many being robbed and maimed.
