Security Concerned about Strip dancing in Kisoro Clubs

The Kisoro district Security Council is set to meet today, Thursday 22nd December 2022 to discuss major issues of insecurity ahead of Christmas day.

Voice of Muhabura has learnt that some night clubs in Kisoro have introduced strip dancing locally known as Kimansulo, which is illegal.

Striptease or dancing is an erotic or exotic dance in which the performer gradually undresses, either partly or completely, in a seductive and sexually suggestive manner.

Kisoro deputy RDC Robert Tukamuhebwa said this issue has been raised by concerned community members including Kisoro district LCV chairperson Abel Bizimana.

Tukamuhebwa said security is going to discuss the issue and deploy the necessary measures to protect the public.

Brian, a boda boda rider says the idea of Strip dancing is new to Kisoro.

He says people usually visit the clubs, midweek to enjoy karaoke however the performers do not dress provocatively.

He further called on the public to double their vigilance during the festive season as crime always increases as the year is coming to an end.

Kisoro Municipality, in recent months has been experiencing pockets of insecurity caused by minors who escape from school and demand for balance.

These juveniles, many of whom have been arrested and fined by Court maimed many people and managed to steal mobile phones, money and other gadgets from people
