75 year old dies alone, Body discovered days later

Police in Kisoro is investigating circumstances under which a 75 year old woman by the names of Florence Hashimiki, a resident of Nyaruyaga Village, Nyamagana Ward, Central division, Kisoro Municipality was discovered dead.

It is alleged that on Sunday 4^th September, 2022 at around 9pm, the deceased was discovered in her house lying in a pool of blood that was oozing from her nose.

This was confirmed by the Kigezi region Police Spokesperson Elly Maate.

Eye witness and neighbor to the deceased, Alice Annah Nsabiyera said the old woman was last seen on Friday 2^nd September 2022.

Her death was realized after one of the sons, Dr. Fred Nizeyimana asked his friend, one Mbonye to go and check on his mother after she had failed to pick any of the son’s phone calls.

Maate says Police is still investigating the cause of death.
