A 40 year old mother is pleading for justice of her 14 year old daughter that was defiled by a 42 year old man in Busanza Sub County on Sunday, 4th June 2023.
The mother to the defiled is Nyirabibutsa Margaret while the accused man is Bitengo Amos, all residents of Kabaya village in Busanza Sub County.
The victim is a primary five pupil at Gitovu primary school in Mupaka town council
According to Nyirabibutsa the incident happened on Sunday evening as her daughter and a friend were coming from a sweet potato garden.
She calls upon the government to find justice for her daughter as she was seriously injured on different body parts including the private part. She says that she is shot of finances to carry out proper treatment on her daughter.
Nyirabibutsa adds that at 14 years, her daughter was forcefully used for nearly two hours from 5:00pm to 7:00pm when her friend called for her rescue.
The Kabaya Village LC1 Chairman, Dominican Matemano said that Amos first filled the minor’s mouth with cloth and placed big stones on her arms to reduce the minors’ resistance.
He also noted that there is growing conflict between his residents and the mother to the accused who tried to defend her son by filing a case against people that were hunting for the accused.
Kisoro RDC, Hajji Shaifique Sekandi says that police is still hunting for the accused person so that he can be aligned before courts of law for justice to prevail.
Meanwhile, defilement cases have been rampant in Kisoro district since the covid-19 recovery period.
Reports indicated that school going pupils have been the most victimised by the vice.
Some defiled minors have given birth and their education career hags in air.
At the beginning of this month, a girl that was defiled at Buhozi primary school by her own teacher gave birth to a bouncing baby girl at 16 years. She was defiled at 15 years in primary seven.
According to the Kigezi region police spokesperson Elly Maate, this teacher identified as Seith Nkunzimana, 31 was on 8th June 2023 been netted from hiding in Kampala.
It is alleged that in the month of September 2022, the suspect had sex with the victim who was then a P.7 pupil at Buhozi primary school.
It is further alleged that Nkunzimana used to call the victim and have sex with her in the staff room and at times from the bush and he could lure her by giving money ranging from 5,000 to 10,000 shillings.
Similar incidencies happened in several schools and other areas of the district in that period.
At Kagera primary school the victim is now in P.7 class, in good health and has continued with studies. She was also defiled by her teacher who has since gone into hiding.
