Residents Speak out

The Head teacher of Muganza primary school in Chahi Sub County Rev. Sam Nzita who received his vaccine jabs at Seseme Primary School vaccination center encouraged others to utilize the opportunity while it still exists.

The head teacher of Seseme Primary School Samuel Baker Munyantwari said all teachers who abscond from this exercise risk losing their jobs.

A nurse in the exercise identified as Moreen Ayinomugisha said teachers who had initially received Astra Zeneca as the first doze will continue to receive the same brand for the second and final jab.

Ayinomugisha however encouraged all first time recipients to use Sinovac, a vaccine that has been donated to Uganda by the American Government.

The move to vaccinate all teachers countrywide comes following continued pressure to re-open school before the end of the year.
