Uganda records 11 new Covid-19 cases

Results of Covid-19 tests done yesterday have confirmed 11 new cases, raising the cumulative number of confirmed cases to 1,040.

Of the 11 new cases, 8 are truck drivers, 2 are alerts from Hoima and Kyotera districts, while on is a Ugandan who recently returned from South Africa.

Six truck divers arrived from Kenya, while 2 others were from DRC and South Sudan.

27 foreign truck drivers from Kenya, DRC and Tanzania tested positive and were not allowed into Uganda.

Today, a total of 984 people, both Ugandans and foreigners have recovered from Covid-19, while a total of 230,680 samples have been tested.
