Story by Joshua Niyonshima

The new Kisoro district Lions club president Ms. Annet Dusabe on Saturday 17th July 2021 started her official duties with two activities of delivering an oxygen cylinder to Kisoro hospital and cleaning a lane between Rusiza market and Kisoro police officers’ barracks.

When Annet was sworn in as the lions club President, She set a theme of “Our Environment Our Responsibility” which she has started to implement forth with.

On Saturday 17th July 2017, Annet started her activities in the southern division where she engaged her neighbors to arrange for the clearing of a lane that had grown into a bush and was almost turning into a dumping site.

According to the lion’s club president, change starts with an individual hence justifying her actions. She says that she began in her neighborhood since charity begins at home.
