The Kisoro Municipal Mayor Ndyana Richard has for the second time accused the Chairperson of Kisoro district Abel Bizimana of being the master minder of all his downfalls and land dealings in the district.
Appearing in Ikimeza program on Voice of Muhabura on Saturday 17th July 2021 hosted by Dennis Nsenga, Ndyana said that Abel Bizimana has been a longtime foe masterminding his downfall. He says ever since 2017 when he wrote a letter to him requesting that Rusiza Market be sold to an investor and he declined, Chairman has since hated him.
He continued to accuse him of being behind the grabbing of the land opposite Sawa Sawa guest house, renovated the structures in place and even constructed a permanent fence. Ndyana says as Municipal leadership the only intervention they made was demanding for a construction plan for the site.
Ndyana asked for cooperation and respect among leaders.
In his response Abel Bizimana said that the letter he wrote to Ndyana Richard in 2017 was about the poor planning of Rusiza market where small rooms were developed. He said that he will avail the copy of the letter to media this week for clarity.
On the issue of the district land opposite Sawa Sawa, Abel said they were implementing council resolutions even when confusion among councilors arose.
In the last district council sitting for the political term 2016/2021 chaired by Amos Hakizimana, a resolution that Abel Bizimana and the former Chief Administrative officer Mr. Kasozi Suleiman be held liable to misrepresenting council decisions and acting out of law on matters related to land opposite Sawa Sawa in Kisoro Municipality was made.
