More Seven Covid-19 Patients were on 23july 2020 intercepted at Bunagana border heading into Uganda from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
According to the head of disease surveillance in Kisoro district, Nick Muneza, all the seven patients are Male Ugandan truck drivers who were intercepted driving four truck vehicles with two people in each of the three trucks and one in the fourth truck.
By press time communication was ongoing to evacuate the patients from Kisoro district to Kabale regional referral hospital in Kabale district.
The 7 new covid-19 cases brings the total number of patients evacuated from Kisoro district through Bunagana and Cyanika border points of entry to more than 22.
