Over 400 benefit from Oral Health Campaign in Kisoro

Build Your Smile Dental Foundation Uganda (BYSDFU) in collaboration with Lions Club Kisoro have concluded an oral health campaign where over 400 people benefitted from free dental services.

Lions Club Kisoro President Sison Mugisha with friends from Build Your Smile Dental Foundation in Kisoro District

Dr Izchak Barzilay is the founder and CEO of the Build Your Smile Dental Foundation. His passion for volunteerism brought all the way to Kisoro to provide services to the underserved populations.

He commended the communities for embracing the campaign and said people deserve to have good oral hygiene and health because at the end of the day, smiles do not have borders.

Innocent Tumusingize, the Director of Build your Smile Dental Foundation in Uganda said a recent study conducted by the district health experts confirmed that a big proportion of the communities in Chahafi Town Council have problems with their teeth.

Tumusingize said his passion is to sensitize and promote good oral health that can allow people to build on their confidence and help them live healthy lives.

Lion Club President Sison Mugisha said the Ministry of Health has been very supportive of the Oral Hygiene campaign and as Lions Club, one of the core mandates is to promote healthy living to have a productive population.

Mugisha also pledged to have more of such campaigns targeting other communities in Kisoro District.
