A 38 year old man has perished in a motor vehicle accident in Bunagana town council after a Fuso lorry collided with another.
The deceased has been identified as Ngerageze Gad a resident of Nyarutovu village, Bunagana town council. The incident happened between 10 and 11am as the vehicle Reg. no. UAY 340E Fuso squeezed the deceased on another vehicle reg no. UBF 040T Fuso lorry.
According to the traffic police, the deceased and others were offloading posho from one vehicle to another when the incident happened. It is said that Gad died on the way as he was being rushed to Kisoro Hopspital.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Fuso reg no. UAY 340E is on run where as the one of UBF 040T has recorded a statement at police.
Police told voice of Muhabura that investigations are still under way to confirm what could have caused the accident.
