Nyakinama seed secondary school in Nyakinama Sub County is beyond 99 percent complete according to the Kisoro district chief administrative officer Musa Onzu Ismail.
Mr.Onzu said that the school which started way back in 2019 is left with few finishings.
He said that what is left is the mandate of the ministry of education to guide when to open the school and the classes to start.
He says that the development means access to secondary school education for thousands of children in Nyakinama and the surrounding areas and that it will reduce the stress of children who travel long distances looking for secondary schools.
He asked residents of Nyakinama to ensure that everything on the site is protected since the contractor is about to leave the place.
Recently the local leaders and residents welcomed the school and thanked the government for giving them a secondary school.
Nyakinama has no any other government aided secondary schools and students are either enrolled in private schools or travel long distances to look for government aided schools in other sub counties.
