NRM: District Bigwigs get Motorcycles

The Kisoro district National Resistance Movement (NRM) top organ have rewarded themselves with NRM branded motorcycles after they had spent more than one year parked at Kisoro Police Station.

The four motorcycles that were taken earlier this week are part of a consignment that was sent to Kisoro district last year meant for Sub county NRM chairperson.

The beneficiaries include General Secretary Joseph Kanyabugoyi, Finance Hajjat Janat Mbabazi, Publicity Gerrard Ngarama and Representative of Persons with Disabilities.

The General Secretary Joseph Kanyabugoyi says the NRM main stream members agreed in a meeting that the remaining motorcycles be given to the top leadership for mobilization activities.

Kanyabugoyi says one of the Motorcycles was meant for the NRM chairperson, former Minister of State for regional cooperation Dr. Philemon Mateke but he decided to give it to the representative for persons with disabilities (PWD).

Close sources to the NRM chairperson say a thanksgiving ceremony for Dr. Philemon Mateke has been planned for the 26th of February 2022 at Nyakabingo playground.

The event will celebrate 55 years of active leadership in Ugandan Politics.

The guest of Honor is expected to be Prime Minister of Uganda Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja
