A 6-year-old boy, Irinatwe Victor, who went missing on Friday, 28/2/2025, has been found dead, with some body parts missing.
The deceased’s body was found lying in a bean plantation, about 200 metres from his home in Rukoro village Rwaramba Parish in Nyakinama Sub County, Kisoro district.
His relatives say that body parts, including genitals had been taken by the assailants. The body was bruised, with the head partly cut from the trunk.
Other missing body parts are said to be the heart.
“The assailants cut off the testacles, cut open the chest and took the heart. The head was cut, but was not completely detached from the trunk. It must be human sacrifice,” a relative told www.vomuhabura.com.
The deceased disappeared from home on Friday, and parents have been looking for him day and night, including running announcements on radio.
On Saturday, 1st March, three people, including two Rwandan nationals who were last seen with the deceased the previous day, were arrested to aid in investigations.
Sunday Domian, a relative, explains that the minor was last seen in company of two of the suspects, who are cattle herders.
They are said to have been luring some juveniles under the guise of giving them jobs.
“They way this young boy was killed, it must have been human sacrifice. Why did they take all these body parts? Sunday wondered.
Baburabaje John, the vice chairperson of Rukoro village asked police to conclusively investigate the matter and ensure that justice is served.
By publication time, Kisoro police was yet to release a statement.
Meanwhile, officers from Kisoro CPS conveyed the remains to Kisoro Hospital for post mortem, as investigations take shape.
