A group of people, most of them women from Kibande village, Busamba ward, Southern division in Kisoro Municipality have petitioned the office of the Town clerk, southern division, Kisoro municipality to have their LC1 chairperson Sezibera Richard censured.
In the petition that was seen by reporters of Voice of Muhabura, residents request the office of the division clerk to cause the censure of Mr Sezibera Richard the current chairperson of Kibande on allegations of abuse of office.

They also pin Sezibera for failing to account for the money collected from the tent donated to the village by Hon Sam Byibesho. “This tent is kept by Mr Sezibera Richard and it is supposed to be rented out at a fee of 80,000 shillings when it goes out of the village of which he collected 840,000 shillings and has failed to account for it”, part of the petition reads.
Residents also say that their LC1 chairperson submitted government employees and other well-to-do persons to receive the COVID-19 relief fund instead of the vulnerable persons. They want the list to be displayed to show who were considered.
