No Bra Day is an annual observance on October 13 on which women are encouraged to forgo wearing a bra as a means to encourage breast cancer awareness.
Before now, No Bra Day was observed on July 9, 2011, but within three years it had moved to October 13, the month of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Is going braless really healthier?
Many factors can play a part in your breast cancer risk, but going braless isn’t one of them. The bottom line:
“generally speaking, wearing or not wearing a bra really won’t have a significant impact on your overall health.

Is it appropriate to go braless?
Of course, when you wear a wired bra or a bra which is way too tight, it will hamper the blood circulation below your boobs. Due to this, some women feel pain in their chest. Therefore, going braless is a good idea if you need to improve your blood circulation.
Sagging
Breast sagging (which is medically known as “ptosis”) happens with or without wearing a bra, Dr. Attai says. It’s mostly due to the normal aging process when the dense glandular tissue of the breast is replaced by fat and to the stretching out of supportive ligaments over time.
Factors like genetics, weight fluctuations, hormonal changes, pregnancy, and smoking can also impact when and how much breasts sag, Sabrina Sahni, MD, a family medicine physician and women’s health expert at the Mayo Clinic.
