The Kisoro district Police Commander (DPC) Kintu Henry has said Police is investigating circumstances under which a three year old girl was defiled by a 17 year old man.
Kintu identified the suspect as Julius Hafashimana, a resident of Muhinga Village, Chahafi town council, Murora Sub County, Kisoro district.
The Suspect, who is currently under lock and key at Kisoro Police Station denies the charges against him.
Kintu says, the minor is still receiving medical treatment.
The communities in Murora have insisted that the juvenile delinquent had become a menace in the village and this was the last straw.
They demanded that the suspect needs to feel the full weight of the law.
Kintu says, the case is still under investigation adding that the Magistrate who will hear the case retains the right to sentence the suspect, up to 14 years in prison.
