KISORO MUNICIPALITY; MINISTRY OF WORKS AND TRANSPORT APPROVES 5KM ROAD REQUEST BY MAYOR NDYANA

The Kisoro Municipality Mayor, Ndyana Richard has appealed to the Kisoro Municipal authorities and stakeholders to unify for development if the Municipality is to achieve its five year development plan.

According to the Municipal Mayor, says that he believes in the abilities of Kisoro municipal council and other leaders that will enable the municipality accomplish its development plans despite having not made 60% in the last three years.

He notes that in the five year development plan is beautification of the Municipality, Lighting the Municipality, upgrading roads, enabling easy access to clean water, electricity distribution, promoting tourism and upgrading schools in the Municipality.

Mr. Ndyana says that the ministry of works and transport has already approved his request to upgrade municipal roads. He adds that the ministry gave him 5KM roads which will be worked up on during this new term of office.

However, he says that only roads in the town will be upgraded as the municipality asks for more funding to upgrade roads in municipal villages. Among roads to be upgraded include Mutanda road, Chuho road, church road, Bitunguramye road, Kivengeri road among others.

Meanwhile, he says that he is determined to promote developments in the Municipality and he will not pay attention to those promoting hatred among leaders with aims of shying away developments in the town.
