KISORO – A man is nursing a head injury at St Francis Hospital Mutolere after being attacked by his wife.
Mfitumukiza Ezera, a resident of Buzigamboga village, Mbuga parish in Nyakinama Sub County, Kisoro district is said to have been cut on the head by his wife Mujawimana Milia, using a sharp machete.
This happened on Wednesday, at around 7pm, when the victim had just returned home.
Buzigambogo village Chairperson Hakiza Christopher told Voice of Muhabura that Mfitumukiza had just returned home from his work of casual laboring when the incident occurred.
He says that on arrival, Mfitumukiza asked for food, but Mujawimana replied angrily, telling him not to ask for food yet he has failed to provide money for buying the food.
A scuffle ensued, and Mujawimana reached for a sharp machete, cutting her husband on the head.
It is by the help of the neighbours who heard the quarrel that rushed the victim to Mutolere hospital for medical attention.
Other neighbours told Voice of Muhabura that the family has been having domestic conflicts over time.
By the time of filing this story, police had not yet commented on the development.
