Three time aspirant for Kisoro Woman Member of Parliament on Independent ticket, Juliet Musanase has crossed over to Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party.
The three time nonstarter says she made the decision to cross from the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party to FDC because she has always felt neglected and unappreciated.
Musanase made the remarks yesterday during an FDC delegates meeting in Kabale Municipality.
According to Musanase, the chairperson for FDC in Kisoro Vincent Mushakamba often showed her support by looking for votes for her and promoting her agenda, despite her losing three times now.
“I have decided to join FDC where I intend to run for Kisoro Woman Member of Parliament in 2026, I intend to commit to the blue family because they have welcomed me with open arms”, Musanase explained.
In the last general elections of 2021, Musanase (independent) Garnered 3,421 votes, coming second last to Kanyange Peninah with 677 votes.
The winner of the Kisoro Woman MP seat is Hon.Nyirabashitsi Sarah Mateke, who is also the current state Minister for Youth and Children Affairs.
FDC party President in Kisoro Vincent Mushakamba says Hon. Musanase is a valued asset to the party and is someone prepared to fight for Ugandans.
Impostor exposed
The Kisoro district NRM vice chairperson Ramadhan Ndikuyeze says Musanase has never been a member of the NRM and cannot claim to be jumped from the ruling party.
He further said, as a Ugandan she has every right to go where she pleases but she should not drag the NRM party name in mud.
