The Kisoro district Covid-19 task force has tasked the district health officer (DHO), Nsabiyunva Steven to identify two Pharmacies that will be selling Covidex to covid-19 patients at a relatively lower price in order for all patients to afford it.
This was revealed by the Kisoro district covid-19 task force Chairperson who doubles as the Resident district Commission (RDC), Retired Captain Peter Mugisha during an exclusive interview by voice of Muhabura reporter.
According to Captain Mugisha, Covidex has proved to be treating many covid-19 patients in Kisoro but its high price has left low earners to heal at the mercy of God as they cannot afford.

With four government workers still on Oxygen support in Kisoro district, RDC said that 10% of the district’s staff have suffered from Covid-19 but those who have used Covidex have recovered.
He said that the District Health Officer is tasked to connect two pharmacies directly to the Covidex factory so that they buy at a factory price which will help them deliver the medicine at an affordable price.
Meanwhile, Captain Peter Mugisha says that Kisoro district has not yet received its 305 million shillings Covid-19 fund from the government of Uganda to facilitate the fight against Covid-19 by the district task force.
However, while contacted on his phone, District Health Officer Dr. Nsabiyunva Steven declined to comment on the development as he canceled the call immediately after being asked about the matter.
