Defender Abdu Azizi Kayondo and striker Derrick Kakooza are part of the best XI for the just concluded 2021 Africa U20 Cup of Nations in Mauritania.
Uganda despite playing at the tournament for the first time put up a fairytale run to reach the final albeit lost 2-0 to Ghana on Saturday.
A remarkable run has seen several players register outstanding performance, taking the tournament by storm.

Kakooza on the other hand is a no surprise for him to make the best XI at the tournament given his numbers.
The lethal forward took home the top scorer’s gong with five goals scored in six games.
Uganda Hippos coach Morley Byekwaso was also named coach of the tournament.
Winners Ghana also have two players on the Best XI with goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim joining the tournament’s MVP Abdul Fatawu Issahak.
