Former Librarian of Metropolitan International University Kisoro Main Campus Shallon Ayinomugisha has been further remanded by to Kisoro Government Prison until the 21st of February 2024 on charges of attempted murder and aggravated robbery.
The Kisoro Chief Magistrate Court presided over by his Worship Kenneth Komakech said the suspect would not be allowed to enter a plea.
Ayinomugisha Shallon aged 26 was a former librarian at Metropolitan International University.
Prosecution stated before the court that on 17th of January this year while in Kamonyi, Kisoro Municipality, Ayinomugisha robbed 50,000 shillings from Nuwamani Julian aged 17 and attempted to cause the death to the minor by stabbing with a knife.
Sources from within top management of the University said the former employee was already facing a suspension even before she got dragged into the current troubles she is facing.
Julian Nuwamani, who was allegedly attacked by Ayinomugisha is currently receiving medical treatment from St. Francis Hospital Mutolere.
