Father Kills own Son over Sorghum

Police in Kisoro is holding one Yohana Maniragaba aged 55, a resident of Nturo Village, Gisorora Parish, Nyakabande Sub County for allegedly murdering his own biological son for stealing Sorghum.

The deceased has been identified as 15 year old Rogers Ndayambajje.

It is alleged that on the 24^th of September 2022, at around 10:30pm, the victim was assaulted by his father and others accusing him of stealing 40Kgs of Sorghum.

Ndayambajje is believed to have succumbed to injuries on the 27^th of September, 2022 at around 11pm at their home.

The death of the minor was not immediately reported not until a whistleblower in the village alerted the authorities.

Police says the body has been taken to Kisoro Hospital for Postmortem.
