Denis Rukundo has made a return to Rwanda and signed with AS Kigali, this website’s Sports reporter can exclusively report.
The right-back has spent the last two seasons at Police which he joined in 2019 from Rwanda’s giants APR.
At Police FC, Rukundo featured in several games until late last season when he appeared to lose his starting slot to versatile Tonny Kiwalazi at right back.
It’s reported that he has signed a two-year contract with AS Kigali who are beefing up their squad ahead of the new season.
In June this year, Rukundo became a full Rwanda international when he featured in a 2-0 friendly win over Central African Republic in which he assisted one of the goals.
At Police FC, he has been one of the captains and helped the team finish 6th in the league and also reach the semi-finals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
