Newly-appointed Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has tended in a heartfelt apology for the manner with which he departed in 2017. During his second unveiling on Tuesday morning at FUFA House Mengo, the Serbian said that the manner of his departure in 2017 is not something he had hoped for, but had been locked at crossroads. The 51-year-old left a discontented man citing unpaid arrears by the Federation of Uganda football Associations four years back. “When I left for Orlando Pirates, it was not in a pleasing way because I had to choose between football and economical stability,” he stated. “When I left, I must have hurt so many people, but I want to say my apologies, and I promise to do everything to reach the dream.” He also assured Ugandans that his return should be great news as he comes with a more improved version than the last time he was here. “I have been away with Orlando Pirates, the Zambian team too. and I have more experience like the president (Moses Magogo) has said, I am a much more improved coach.” Micho’s first stint lasted four years (2013-2017), where he led the national team back to the Africa Cup of Nations after 38 years.
