A single minor accident involving a trailer truck registration number CGO 5247AE19 occurred today morning in Kanaba Sub County after the motor vehicle developed mechanical failure and failed to break.
The truck that was loaded with a variety of Alcoholic drinks is said to have been heading for Goma, the capital of North Kivu province.
Police sources say the truck was being driven by a Congolese national, by the names of Bienvenu Chinaza Bienfaits. It overturned after the Kanaba Check point at 11:30 am.
Smaller motor vehicles and motorcycles can pass by the overturned truck however larger vehicles have been forced to park and wait for it to be removed.
No deaths or injuries have been registered in the accident.
Police says, they are doing everything possible to ensure the wreckage is removed from the road.
