The Bishop of Muhabura Diocese Rt Rev Godfrey Mbitse has embarked on a tour of the Diocese as he performs the Holy Sacrament of Confirmation to the flock.
This is according to the Diocesan Secretary, Rev. Steven Ruzaza, who addressed Voice of Muhabura journalists at his office.
Rev Ruzaza said the third Bishop of Muhabura Diocese will tour all the 44 parishes in the 5 Archdeaconries of the Diocese.
The Archdeaconries are Gitovu, Iryaruvumba, Gisorora, Kabindi and Seseme.
The tour kicked off on 10th May, at Nshungwe Parish in Gitovu Archdeaconry, where over 100 Christians received the Sacrament.
Bishop Mbitse has since started the tour of Iryaruvumba Archdeaconry, which will be followed by Gisorora and Kabindi.
According to Rev Ruzaza, the Bishop will conclude the tour with St Andrew’s Seseme on December 10th 2024.
He expressed gratitude to the Christians for warmly welcoming their Bishop, who is now in the second year of his ministry.
Rev Ruzaza added that the tour’s theme is taken from the book of Romans 12:1-2. He also called upon all Christians to continue respect the them and love God, instead of world things.
