Residents discover dead body near Nyakabande Air field.

According to Sebaganda, the unidentified individual is believed to have been dead at least two days before his body was discovered by passersby.

Police in Kisoro district is investigating circumstances under which a male adult was allegedly murdered near the Nyakabande Airfield.

According to Sebaganda, the unidentified individual is believed to have been dead at least two days before his body was discovered by passersby.

Prominent Business man Nkuranga Bonaventure, whose home and property is adjacent to the airfield says he was notified by concerned residents who had discovered the body.

According to Nkuranga, the deceased was found face down. His clothes had been removed and dumped next to the corpse.

The deceased is believed to have been hit in the head with a metallic object. The corpse also had a rubber rope locally known as Olukoba around his neck, indicating that he could have been strangled.

Kigezi Regional Police Spokesperson Elly Maate confirmed the incident.

Maate says the matter is being investigated under the case file number CRB 399/2022.

The body of the deceased has been taken Kisoro hospital Mortuary for post mortem.

He has also called on the public to offer information about the deceased in order to offer him a decent burial.
