Goat thief lynched to death, No tears from community who say he had it coming.

The deceased was cut several times on the entire body and his head was split into two by residents. It is alleged that he was found with machetes that he allegedly use to break into Niragiye Lydia’s home before heading to the home of her daughter in-law Molly Nyiramucyo.

Residents hailing from Bupfupfu Village, Rwaramba Parish in Nyakinama Sub County can now breathe following the death of a perpetual goat thief in the village.
The deceased who has been identified as Wilber in his late 30s, a resident of Burihira Village, Rwaramba parish, Nyakinama Sub County met his death by lynching.
The deceased was cut several times on the entire body and his head was split into two by residents. It is alleged that he was found with machetes that he allegedly use to break into Niragiye Lydia’s home before heading to the home of her daughter in-law Molly Nyiramucyo.
According to Nyiramucyo Molly, it was at around 1:30am when she saw some light in the children’s bedroom forcing her to wake up to find a stranger in her house.
She says she was grabbed tightly before calling for help but the thief cut her on the right thigh adding that the thief had already packed her goats and some food.

Niragiye was credited by the community for grabbing the perpetual thief in the village

Lydia Nirangiye, the mother in-law to Nyiramucyo says that she also realized that a thief had broken into her house after waking up to go and check on her daughter in-law who was alarming for help.
She commended her neighbors who responded to the alarm and came to disarm the thief who was also armed with a Panga and an Iron bar that he used to defend himself.
Good riddance:
Bupfupfu village residents say that they are happy because the deceased had been terrorizing them on several occasions.
They say that they have been losing a lot of property including clothes, goats, cows, pigs, food stuffs, money among others to thieves that has retarded their domestic growth.
They urged the Police to intensify their operations to round up thieves in the village.
Police condemned the acts of lynching saying it is against the law.
