The territorial police in Rubanda District have registered a fatal road accident that claimed the life of Alex Ahimbisibwe, an adult male.
The incident occurred on April 22, 2026, at around 9:00 PM at Habutobere Village, Muko Sub-county, along the Kabale–Kisoro Road.
According to preliminary police reports, It is alleged that the rider of motorcycle registration number UFR 712N (Bajaj Boxer), who was traveling from Kisoro towards Kabale, lost control at the Muko Market boda boda stage and knocked the deceased.
At the time of the accident, Ahimbisibwe was working as a broker at the stage.
ASP Elly Maate confirmed that a team of police officers led by AIP Mwine (Traffic) responded to the scene.
The body was transported to Muko Health Centre IV for a postmortem examination, while the motorcycle was impounded and taken to Rubanda Police Station pending inspection by the Inspector of Vehicles (IOV).
ASP Elly Maate noted that efforts to apprehend the rider are ongoing, and investigations into the incident are underway.
