Over 300 pregnant women from Rutaka Parish, Kirundo Sub County, Kisoro district have been supported with different medical services organized by Eden Mission.
The Medical outreach program at Rutaka HC III that took place on Monday ensured that pregnant mothers in the area got timely services from professional medical practitioners.
Eden Mission is an Evangelical, Non-Denominational, Bible-based ministry that operates in the Democratic republic of Congo as well as parts of Kigezi region, including Kisoro district.
The Chief Guest, Bishop of Muhabura Diocese Rt. Rev. Godfrey Mbitse commended the work being done by Eden Mission in Kisoro district.
Rt. Rev. Godfrey Mbitse said Organizations that unite people from different religious backgrounds and focus on empowering families to develop themselves are a good indicator of doing the will of God while on earth.
Eden Mission director Kenneth Rwego Gahuriro commended the chairman of the Board of Directors of Eden Mission Dr. Andrew Strong for his passion towards uniting people through promotion of good health and the word of God.
Mr. Gahuriro said people in Kisoro need to respect one another, work hard and fear God in order for them to develop themselves.
