Christians of ADPR church in Cyanika town council, Kisoro district yesterday managed to raise 12 million Ugandan shillings during a fundraiser organized to collect funds to complete construction of the church.
The expectant congregation was however disappointed after Chief Guest and former Bufumbira South Member of Parliament Sam Kwizera Bitangaro failed to turn up for the event.
Master of Ceremonies (MC) Gerrard Ngarama said, due to unavoidable circumstances, the guest of honor was unable to be present.
Ambrose Emolu, the Principal Human Resource officer in the Ministry of Education and Sports was quickly elevated to chief guest.
During his communication, Emolu stressed the importance of Christians serving God with their gifts, talents and resources while they still have the opportunity to be alive.

“We will all eventually die but how will you meet your creator in Heaven if you never did anything to serve him while you were still alive? Emolu asked
He said the completion of the church will serve future generations who will benefit from Godly teachings.
Emolu and his wife contributed 1 million Ugandan shillings.
Benjamin Museka, one of the church members based in the United States of America contributed 5 million shillings towards completion of the church.
Museka also handed over Hon. Sam Bitangaro’s contribution of 300,000 Ugandan shillings.
At least five pastors were ordained by Bishop Geoffrey Rwanamuzi of ADPR- Pentecostal Church.
Bishop Rwanamuzi preached love among Christians and asked the ordained Pastors to observe discipline as they serve the flock.
One of the ordained Pastors Mfitumukiza Jordan thanked the Bishop and the rest of the church for the selfless sacrifice of uplifting God’s ministry in the area.
